The question counts come from the content outlines; the time comes from the candidate handbook. The handbook does not state a passing score. It says "Each examination is divided into two parts: the general section and the state section. Candidates who pass one section of the examination and fail the other need to retake the portion they did not pass."

Idaho has no combined Life and Accident and Health exam; each line is a separate exam.

Results and retakes

Your score report says pass or fail; a failing report also shows a numeric score and diagnostic information on the general part. The handbook says you can retake 24 hours after your last attempt and there is no limit on the number of attempts. Results are valid for 180 days.

Do I need a pre-licensing course in Idaho?

The handbook and the Idaho Department of Insurance list no education step, and Idaho Code 41-1007 lists the findings for a resident license (including age 18, fees and passing the exams) without one. Neither source has an explicit statement either way, so check with the Department if you are unsure.
